Trouble Shooting Tips Prior To Requesting
Return Authorization Request

The Biddeford Blankets warming product is warranted for five years. This warranty covers the electronic controller, the cords, and the blanket/throw/wrap/mattress pad itself.  This warranty does not cover abuse, accident, damage resulting from failure to follow instructions, or to modifications to the unit not carried out by the manufacturer. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. If you should require warranty service for your Biddeford Blankets Product, please follow the below steps.

Analog Controller Products

If you are using an analog controller the numbers on the wheel are lit up but so is the area between the dial and the ON/OFF switch. What does that mean?

The red glow is the error light. It indicates that there may be a problem. Sometimes the error-light is activated by a transient event and not an actual problem. To check, turn the blanket OFF, wait 10 seconds. Then turn it ON again. If the light between the dial and the ON/OFF switch glows red for a second time, unplug the blanket from the wall and disconnect the power cord from the blanket/wrap/throw or mattress pad.  Proceed to fill out the Return Authorization Form Below in order to receive a Return Authorization Number via e-mail from our Customer Service Department.  All products that require warranty service must be issued a Return Authorization Number prior to returning the product to the manufacturer.

Digital Controller Products

The display is illuminated but it is reading “E”, what does that mean?

“E” stands for “ERROR” and indicates there may be a problem. Some error messages are caused by transient events and not an actual problem. To check, turn off the blanket and wait for 15 seconds. Then turn the blanket ON again. If the “E” returns for a second time, unplug the blanket from the wall, disconnect the power cord from the blanket/wrap/throw or mattress pad.  Proceed to fill out the Return Authorization Form Below in order to receive a Return Authorization Number via e-mail from our Customer Service Department.  All products that require warranty service must be issued a Return Authorization Number prior to returning the product to the manufacturer.

Additional Trouble Shooting Steps For Queen and King Size Products

If your Blanket / Mattress Pad is a Queen or King Size and one controller is displaying an "E" error code on the digital display for the Digital Controller (Model TC12BO) or if the controller has illuminated a second LED light for the Analog Controller (Model TC11BO or TC11BA), turn both controllers off and disconnect from the foot of the product.  Make note which controller was displaying the error code.  Switch the position of the controllers and reconnect at the foot of the product.  Wait about 30-45 seconds and turn both controllers back on.  If the controller that was operating prior to switching the controllers does not  work on the opposite side, proceed to fill out the Return Authorization Form Below in order to receive a Return Authorization Number via e-mail from our Customer Service Department.  However, if the controller does work on the opposite side, then you will only require a replacement controller and the product will not need to be sent to our attention for warranty service.  Please fill out the form below and identify if you require a Return Authorization Number or only a replacement controller.

Once you receive the Return Authorization Number via e-mail,  please send the blanket/mattress pad/throw and control to:

Biddeford Blankets

When sending the product in for warranty service, please identify the Return Authorization Number on the outside of the package in large numbering.
